Lady Gaga and Fiancé Michael Polansky's Venice International Film Festival Looks Deserve All The Applause

Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky connected the dots at the Venice International Film Festival.
After all, when the engaged couple docked their boat on Sept. 2 for the annual film event, their coordinating outfits were nothing less than molto bene.
For her part, the “Applause” singer wore a long-sleeved, black silk dress covered in white polka dots which she paired with tights and black heels. She wore her platinum blonde locks in a half-up, half-down look that was tied into a braided bun and, in true Gaga fashion, kept on her dark sunglasses despite their nighttime arrival.
Michael, meanwhile, took a page out of his fiancée’s book, letting his black frames do the talking for his look. He kept the rest of his ensemble simple with a black jacket, matching shirt, pants and ebony sneakers. And as they waved and snapped selfies with fans, Gaga paused for a quick kiss with her beloved.
The couple’s outing comes just over a month after they confirmed their engagement at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where the Grammy winner performed during the Opening Ceremony.
While rumors of a proposal had spread since early April, it wasn’t until France’s Prime Minister Gabriel Attal shared a video on July 28 that fans heard Gaga refer to Michael as her fiancé for the first time.
The engagement news came four years after Gaga and Michael first sparked dating speculation with a New Year’s Eve kiss at a party in Las Vegas in 2020.
And while the “Paparazzi” artist has mainly kept their relationship out of the public eye, she has made the occasional comment about their romance—as well as her hopes for the future.
In addition to calling Michael the “love of my life” in an interview with MSNBC in 2020, she also told InStyle that same year that of the many things she hoped for in life, marriage was at the top of the list.
And on her birthday this year, Gaga was still feeling the love. “Today has been so special—I can’t remember a time I was so happy on my bday,” she captioned her March 28 post. “I am in love with my best friend, my family and friends are loving and kind and healthy. I feel like my heart is bursting with gratitude.”
